WOMEN’S LIBERATION FRONT FILES FRIEND-OF-THE-COURT BRIEF

justiceWOMEN’S LIBERATION FRONT FILES FRIEND-OF-THE-COURT BRIEF IN HARRIS FUNERAL HOMES V. EEOC AND AIMEE STEPHENS

Case highlights the importance of distinguishing between sex and gender for purposes of interpreting nation’s civil rights laws and highlights First Amendment implications of compelling speech.

WASHINGTON – The Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF), an unapologetically radical feminist organization that fights for the rights, privacy, and safety of women and girls, today filed an amicus brief (PDF) in the case of R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Homes, Inc. v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Aimee Stephens (U.S. Supreme Court Docket No. 18-107).

In that case, a man named Aimee Stephens sued his previous employer, the R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Homes, because the funeral home fired him on the basis of his self-declared “gender identity.” The case is currently before the U.S. Supreme Court.

In its brief, WoLF argues that sex and gender are distinct concepts that should not be conflated. It states that “[l]egallyredefining ‘female’ as anyone who claims to be female results in the erasure of female people as a class. If, as a matter of law, anyone can be a woman, then no one is a woman, and sex-based protections in the law have no meaning whatsoever.”

WoLF argues that the case presents an opportunity for the Supreme Court to re-affirm previous caselaw holding that discriminatory actions on the basis of sex-stereotyping violate the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

“Congress knew very well what the word ‘sex’ means when it included that word in the list of categories of people in need of civil rights protections,” said Kara Dansky, who serves on the board of the Women’s Liberation Front. “There is no basis, nor is there any reason, for this Court to hold that sex means anything other than everyone knows it means.”

The brief goes on to state: “Importantly, re-affirming the prohibition on sex-stereotyping would also protect gay employees against workplace discrimination because heterosexuality functions as a sex-stereotype, in the sense that society tends to presume that people are heterosexual. Taking an action against a homosexual employee because of that person’s sexuality would, therefore, constitute unlawful sex-stereotype sex discrimination.”

WoLF additionally argues that to require an employer, or anyone, to believe and/or state that men can be women violates the First Amendment. “The notion that a man can be a woman, or that a woman can be a man, is nothing other than a belief system, adhered to by a very small segment of society,” said Natasha Chart, the WoLF board Chair. “No one should be required to agree with that belief system, or to use compelled speech to further it.”

Oral arguments in the case are anticipated to occur on October 8, 2019.

Julia Beck and the Violence Against Women Act

Lesbian Feminist: Trans Is a ‘Misogynistic Trojan Horse’

BY TYLER O’NEIL MARCH 7, 2019

On Thursday, lesbian feminist Julia Beck testified before Congress against the gender identity provisions in the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Meant to protect transgender people, these provisions actually act as a “misogynistic trojan horse,” undermining key protections for women and girls, Beck argued.

“The first piece of U.S. legislation to even acknowledge the epidemic of violence against women is now a misogynistic Trojan Horse,” Beck declared. She argued that “all women and girls are oppressed on the basis of our female sex,” not their gender identity.

Beck herself recalled facing threats of violence due to her opposition to transgender activism. “People on the Left have tried to silence me by using threats and other tactics of intimidation, a kind of hatred that most lesbians would expect to receive from people on the Right. I’ve been told to die in a fire, to get raped, and to choke on ‘lady c*ck’ by members of the GBT community,” she said.

“My so-called allies cast me out for speaking about male violence, so I spoke with the only people who were willing to listen, people on the Right, who usually never see eye to eye with lesbians or feminists,” Beck explained, referencing her appearance at the Heritage Foundation in January.

She praised the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) as a critical protection for women and girls facing violence but warned that when gender identity provisions were added in 2013, that undermined the very purpose of the law.

“The distinct sex categories of female and male are mutually exclusive. Therefore women and girls benefit from female space,” Beck said. “In its earliest forms, VAWA defended female space.” In 2013, however, “one small addition to the act dissolved all of its sex-based provisions. VAWA now protects the nebulous concept of gender identity, defined in Title 18 as actual or perceived gender-related characteristics.”

Beck argued that protections based on gender identity are “illogical and completely irresponsible.”

“While sex is a vital statistic, gender and identity are not. VAWA was created for women and girls, not for those who feel like or identify as female. Woman is not a gender or a feeling,” Beck declared. She undercut the entire gender identity concept, attacking it as sexist. “No one has ever been able to explain what ‘feeling like a woman’ means without using sexist stereotypes.”

“Women don’t need to identify as female in order to be women,” the lesbian added. “Woman means adult human female. New gender identity laws allow male people to claim womanhood.”

“The Violence Against Women Act has become the Violence Against Anybody Act,” she quipped. “Its original sex-based protections are now meaningless because men with gender identities who commit violence against women are protected by federal law. When gender identity wins, women and girls always lose.”

The lesbian argued that those who think “gender identity is the next frontier of social justice … couldn’t be more wrong.”

“Gender is based on rigid sex roles and superficial stereotypes that legitimize male dominance and female subordination. This harmful hierarchy is something that women and girls can never ‘identify’ out of,” she explained.

Violence against women around the world is horrific and cannot be explained in terms of gender identity. “Female fetuses cannot identify out of sex-selective abortion. Global majority women cannot identify out of genital mutilation or forced impregnation,” Beck added, mentioning three of the worst abuses faced by women around the world.

“Women and girls are targeted by men because of our female sex, because the doctrine of gender codes females as subhuman,” the lesbian argued. Transgender identity buys into that “doctrine of gender” and throws a “misogynistic Trojan Horse” into the very law intended to defend women and girls against sex-based violence.

“One of four girls will be sexually abused before they turn 18 years old and 96 percent of people who sexually abuse children are male,” Beck said. “Half the population is living in a state of emergency. Violence against women is a hate crime, but as of 2013, it is state-sanctioned, as long as perpetrators ‘feel like’ they’re women.”

The lesbian concluded her testimony with a call to action. “Everyone here, whether you’re female or not, knows what a woman is. Everyone knows that violence against women is a sex-based issue,” she said. “So for the sake of women and girls, please remove gender identity from VAWA.”

The Silenced Begin To Be Heard

Serving Women

The woman who made this video was banned from Facebook for 7 days for hate speech. She was upset because she went to a training at a shelter for battered women and was told she would have to accept that men are women if they say they are and that she must never question anyone about their stated “gender”. (Although, the guys are not really passing as women, it’s part of the sexual paraphilia to believe they are getting away with their masquerade.)  So basically, any woman who works in any kind of service agency that was created by and for women, to protect women from male violence, is now being forced to pretend a man is really a woman if he says he is and let him into the private areas where women are seeking shelter from battery and sexual abuse by males.

There is a vicious war being waged against women and leftist idiots are setting the fires under women’s feet, forcing us to lie and silencing us everywhere we once felt free to express our pain.

People are male or female and are not interchangeable, no matter what the masculinist corporate medical cartel tries to sell you about sex change. Male socialization happens to boys whether they are straight or gay or suffer from autogynephilia and get their rocks off in feminine clothes and make-up. And that is problem with men, they ALL believe they have the right to take women’s time, energy,  labor and private spaces. If you think there’s a problem with gender then you need to shrink male privilege, not expand it by opening women’s spaces to men with personality disorders that make them act out feminine stereotypes.

Women’s Liberation Front v. United States in re: Title lX Protections For Women

From the WoLF GoFundMe page

From Feminist Current by Susan Cox

Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) is suing the U.S. federal government in order to challenge the recent dissolution of Title IX protections for women and girls in education. (Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects women and girls from discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities that receive federal funding.) Since its legislation, Title IX has formed the bedrock of equal educational opportunity in the U.S., necessitating countless reforms to raise the level of opportunity for female persons in an attempt to match what had in the past only been afforded to males.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Department of Education (DOE) recently enacted a policy redefining the legal category of “sex” in Title IX to “gender-identity.” The DOJ and DOE was empowered to make this change based on the premise that it does not constitute a substantive reinterpretation of the original legislation. Women’s Liberation Front disagrees with this premise, asserting that the change presents a radical departure from the core of the legislation’s meaning and function, writing on their fundraising campaign page:

“This [redefinition] effectively renders Title IX meaningless, as females can no longer be recognized as distinct from males. Indeed, Title IX, the legislation used to champion the very creation of female sports, is now being used to dismantle them, as male athletes demand access to female teams, dominating the competition.

The reinterpretation of ‘sex’ to include ‘gender identity’ also means that girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms must be opened up to any male who ‘identifies’ as female. Girls’ rights to personal privacy and freedom from male sexual harassment, forced exposure to male nudity, and voyeurism have been eliminated with the stroke of a pen. Schools that do not comply with the demands of any male student to access protected female spaces will now lose federal funding.”

Two days ago, Women’s Liberation Front launched a gofundme campaign to cover the legal fees for bringing this challenge to the courts. The campaign has already raised over $5,000 in donations.

Compassion

Brilliant writing by Emma Gibson. She speaks to the experience of so many of us…
“Someone has just decided they don’t want to be friends with me because of my views (and vocalisation of such) on trans issues. That’s fine. I have lost friends before because of this issue. I’ll lose more in future.
But one point struck me. She said ”Compassion is a great character trait. Please do think about this.”

And I’d like to address that, for anybody else who is thinking that I’m some kind of monster. This is not aimed at the person (who, in any case, I have unfriended on here now.) but for anyone else who wants to make judgements about my ‘compassion’ or lack of. And, yes, share this if you want, sisters. It’s public. I’m so tired.

My compassion lies with the women fleeing abuse at the hands of men who have to share a shelter with Daniel Muscato or any other man because he self identifies as a woman.

My compassion lies with the women hiding in shelters right now, terrified that their abusive ex can move into that shelter at any minute because they identify as a woman.

My compassion lies with the mothers who carried and birthed their children and now must make way for their petulant husband on Mothers Day.

My compassion lies with the girls who will never be able to participate in sports because their places have been taken by boys who aren’t meeting the gendered expectations of their sex, so are labelled as girls and given spaces on the girls teams. And the women who work and train for years to be the best in womens sports then have their medals and trophies stolen by men.

My compassion lies with the girls sports teams who are told that they must have middle-aged-men watch them undress in their locker room or be labeled bigots and forced to squeeze into a tiny, secondary changing space.

My compassion lies with the girls who will never make it in certain jobs or industries, because the quota of women has been filled by male-to-trans people.

My compassion lies with the wives and children of middle-aged-men who centre themselves and their delusion or fetish over the needs of their families.

My compassion lies with the women who are raped or abused by male-to-trans people and, instead of supported, are vilified if they ‘misgender’ their rapist.

My compassion lies with the female-to-trans victim of a known male-to-trans transgender activist, who was raped in an attempt at impregnation by him and then milked for sympathy by the person who had raped them. A person who is still active in the trans community and, as far as I can see, has not been made to answer to this abuse by his peers.

My compassion lies with every single person who has ever had a serious concern or allegation completely ignored because they ‘misgendered’ the person it was about.

My compassion lies with the young lesbians who are facing a new type of ‘how do you know you don’t like dick if you haven’t tried it? I’ll fuck that out of you.’ and who no longer have safe spaces to turn to, because those spaces (womens spaces and LGB spaces) are now centred around trans issues and trans feelings and the homophobic men are now ‘women’ and can follow them wherever they wish.

My compassion lies with the female-to-trans – the women who hate themselves and their bodies so much that they have their breasts bound or hacked off and inject themselves with hormones that don’t belong in their bodies. Or the girls (the young lesbians, mostly) who are told they aren’t feminine enough, so they must be boys and they must bind themselves and piss through a packer and change their name, because they aren’t right as they are.

My compassion lies with the detransitioners – the people who have realised too late that there is nothing wrong with their body. And by the time they realise this, their body is already poisoned with the hormones of the opposite sex. It’s with the confused men with fake breasts and the hurting women with stubble.

My compassion lies with the male-to-trans, the ones who genuinely feel they are in the wrong body – that they are somehow ‘wrong’ as a person. My compassion lies with them because they have been told by society that they are not okay as they are, that what they like and how they feel does not belong in their body, and so they have decided that their body is wrong.

My compassion lies with all trans people – these people are mentally ill and we, as a society, are enabling them to pump themselves full of hormones that don’t belong in their bodies (the long term side effects of which we still have no real idea of), cut off healthy body parts, have painful surgeries and spend every waking minute trying to fix their ‘wrongness’, when all that is wrong is a society that does not allow gender-non-conformity to go unpunished in some way or other.

My compassion lies with all the children being raised today and in future with no grasp of very basic biology, no understanding of how their body works, no language to articulate what is happening to their body.

My compassion lies with the women who are being robbed of the language to articulate what is happening to them and their sisters and why it is happening. Who are gaslighted into accepting and parotting blatant lies and word soup that makes no sense, either common or scientific.

My compassion lies with the women who are no platformed, fired, stalked, harrassed, threatened with violence, rape and murder (of them, their children, their pets…) for saying things such as ‘women have vulvas’ or ‘people born with penises don’t experience periods’.

My compassion lies with the women who work tirelessly to build places where they and other women can be safe only for them to be torn down on the whims of men. It lies with the women who lost part of themselves when Michfest ended and it lies with those of us who will never experience it because a different breed of man than usual saw that women had something and decided if they couldn’t have it, they’d destroy it.” ( by Emma Gibson)

Midwives Arise!

A COUNTER-EXHIBIT TO THE DEGENDERETTES DISPLAY AT THE SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC LIBRARY.

Sharing on at the request of some sister feminists:

A COUNTER-EXHIBIT TO THE DEGENDERETTES DISPLAY AT THE SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC LIBRARY.

Hi All,

Recently, the SF Public Library mounted an exhibit of art and weapons (axes and baseball bats) used by the Degenderettes that included a t-shirt splashed in red (to indicate blood) with the words “I Punch TERFS” scrawled across it. Feminists are helping pull together an exhibit to counter this call for violence against women.

THE CONCEPT: We would like women to submit pictures of themselves holding up a sign that describes why they were called TERFs, beginning with “I was called a TERF because …” Anyone who does not want to show their face can simply cover it with the sign.

Example of a sign: “I was called a TERF because I said that gender isn’t a feeling. #IWasCalledTERF

We will then create an online exhibit of the photos.

We would like to do a TWITTER CAMPAIGN on May 26 @ 2 PM PDT to coincide with a panel on “Art and Activism in the Bay” that the SFPL is hosting in conjunction with the Degenederettes exhibit. We will use the hashtag: #IWasCalledTERF

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

1. Please submit photos of yourself as described above. Please email your photo(s) to: theterfexhibit@gmail.com.

2. Please get ready to tweet your photo to the SFPL (‪@SFPublicLibrary) on Saturday, May 26 at 2 PM PDT using the hashtag: #IWasCalledTERF.

Thank you!

Remember Me When Gender Ideology Bites You In The Ass

imagesOriginally posted on Mumsnet. (I added links to show that these trends are not just idle terf paranoia, but are becoming the law)

{edited to note that I did not write this. I do not know the name of the author}

“To the woman who shrieked at me that I am a bigot and a terf and a hateful transphobe for defending women’s rights,

Ten, fifteen years from now, I ask you to remember me.

Remember me when you have your first baby and you’re referred to throughout your pregnancy as a birthing individual, a pregnant person, and it makes you feel kind of dehumanised and you wish they’d just call you a woman, a mother, because that’s what you are. But they’re not allowed, because it’s illegal to say only women can be pregnant and give birth.

http://www.feministcurrent.com/2017/02/28/gestators-hosts-pregnant-people-bipartisan-pact-erase-women/

Remember me when you give birth and you feel vulnerable and exposed and you really want a woman beside you who understands what you’re going through and instead your midwife is a six foot man with stubble in a dress and you know he isn’t a woman but you’re not allowed to object, even when you need to be examined and you just want a woman to do it but you know you can’t say anything because that would be hate speech, even though your body is screaming no.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2017/06/19/canadians-face-hate-crimes-using-wrong-gender-pronouns/

Remember me when your elderly mother, who has lost her mind to dementia, goes into a care home and is told that her carer, Susan, is a woman, because you asked that she only be cared for by women. And even in her addled state of mind, she knows that Susan is a man, and you know Susan is a man, but you cannot object, and she has to allow Susan to perform her intimate care, because to object would be hate speech.

Remember me when your daughter comes home from school crying, the daughter who has spent the last five years training to be the best athlete in her class, her school, her district, she’s crying because Lucas in her class, one of the fastest boys, has decided he identifies as female for now and so is allowed to run in her race, and she knows it doesn’t matter how hard she trains, he will always beat her, and she can only ever hope for a silver medal now. Or bronze, if there is another Lucas.

http://www.wnd.com/2017/03/female-athletes-crushed-by-women-who-were-once-men/

Remember me when you go into a toilet late at night, perhaps in a bar, and there’s noone else around, and a guy walks in, he has a beard and is wearing jeans and a t shirt, and the way he looks at you seems off, and you feel afraid and unsettled and worried he might hurt you. But you can’t challenge him, because if you do he’ll say he’s a woman and has as much right as you do to be in this toilet, a place where many years ago you might have come to feel safe.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1722756661380462/

Remember me when you go for a promotion, for a board position at work that’s designated for a woman. You’ve put in the hours, you’ve worked so hard, you know you deserve it. And the position goes to Lola, who until last year was a 50 year old man. Lola will never do anything inconvenient like needing time off to have babies, or to deal with any health issues that you, a woman might face, like endometriosis, breast cancer, PND. Lola is a woman just like you, and your company are happy that they have fulfilled their quota of women members on the board.

Remember me when you read on the news that crime statistics for women committing rape and murder are on the increase, and now women carry out a much higher number of rapes and murders than they did when you were a teenager or a young woman. And you know that these ‘women’ are men and that the statistics are wrong, but to challenge this would be hate speech.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1722756661380462/

Remember me too, when these women rapists are locked up with vulnerable women in female prisons and cannot escape, because to challenge the presence of the women rapists with penises in prison with them would be hate speech.

http://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/community/fort-worth/article134353039.html

Remember me when your son comes home from school and says that he’s learned at school that you can change sex and that some girls have penises and some boys have vaginas and that his teacher said that because he likes playing with girls and dolls that maybe he is really a girl in the wrong body. And you think, no, you are just my wonderful, unique, son, and you were born in your own body. Remember me when a few months down the line the teacher calls you in and says she’s concerned that you are not validating your son’s identity and that she’s noticed you are still referring to him by the name you so carefully chose for him when he was born, and calling him a boy, when he is actually a girl, and that she doesn’t want to have to involve social services but she’s worried she might have to if you continue to misgender your son and deny his real identity. And you know that she will, because it’s happened before in a school near you, and you are afraid.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2017/06/27/new-law-canada-remove-kids-parents-reject-transgender-ideology/

In this brave new world that you helped to create, look around for your transactivist friends, your lefty male allies, the ones you stood beside and yellled ‘terf, transphobe, bigot’ with, with you shouting the loudest, because you wanted to show what a good ally you were, how inclusive, how progressive. Where are they now? Why, they are where they always were. Benefitting from the patriarchy. Enjoying the new, improved version of it that you helped them to build by crushing the resistance from the women who spoke up for their rights. This has all cost them nothing; it has made the world a better, easier place for men. It has cost you and your sisters who campaigned with them for virtue cookies, everything.

And me? I’ll be where I’ve always been. Fighting for your rights. Fighting to undo the damage.
I’ll have your back, as I always have done.”

What is a Woman?

via What is a Woman?

Screen Shot 2017-11-08 at 02.29.20When violence against women was legal ‘Woman’ was classed as an adult human female.

When women were allowed to be payed less ‘Woman’ was classed as an adult human female.

When they were burning witches based on the fact that ‘Women are closer to the devil’. Woman was classed as an adult human female.

Even today all over the world in countries where women are still the legal property ‘Woman’ is classed as an adult human female

Yet when males decide they want to come into womens spaces suddenly ‘Woman’ is classed as an identity

When males want to compete in womens sports ‘Woman’ is classed as an identity

When males want to take spaces meant to increase womens participation in politics ‘Woman’ is classed as an identity

Why dont we just cut to the chase and change the definiton to Woman means what ever is convenient to and most benefits males at any particular time

What was between your legs was important when they were deciding who can vote, when they were allowing people to work or not, when they were deciding how much to pay people. When they were forcing people into a life of domestic servitude that allowed rape and violence depending on it

But now all of a sudden when women are making political gains and rising up against this suddenly what is between your legs:

Is irrelevant
Is no ones business
Is bigotry to even ask
is not important

Funny how what is between your legs is only important if men can benefit from it in someway
